Sachin deserves that knighthood even more now

I had written about that knighthood that could possibly come Sachin Tendulkar's way. Now, after this sterling, still unbeaten, performance from Sachin at Adelaide, I guess the officials concerned need to rush with the honouring formalities!

He has really proved his class by the manner in which he totally dominated the bowlers. Man, you've got to respect him for the way he has carried on and on doing his stuff inspite of all that has happened around him. So much pressure, so many expectations. Anyone else will have definitey crumbled.

Anyway, that's just about one innings in one day of one test match. Still a long way to go in the game. I guess we'll get upto about 400 in the first innings. Then it's upto the bowlers to rework the magic that hapened at Perth.

Wasn't it a stunning reminder of the Sachin we thought we'd never see again? The only difference between then and now was that the lofted drives over the bowler's head went first-bounce for four rather than sail over the sightscreen. That's the only concession to age...the command was all vintage Sachin.

Sachin deserves everything...By the time he leaves Cricket I think he would hold the record for the record number of records held...But yesHe's batting wonderfully at the moment...Let us hope he carries on the same way...

absolutely... I have never seen someone play with such command and discipline. Just shows how mentally and physically tough this little genius this little man is.. Hats off to Sachin!!!

I must admit that there seems to be a lot of Tendulkar worship around. He is a great player but I am not sure this innings was one of his best.

He's class and grace personified without a second thought. Pressure - well he's redefined that. I just wish he could have played a defining knock in the 2nd innings, most notably at MCG or Sydney.. Whatever said and done though, it doesn't matter considering what he's achieved in his glorious career..

I also think that Sachin Tendulkar deserves knighthood. No matter, whether he is given it or not, but Sachin has done a lot for Indian team. He received Padma Vibhushan this year, India’s second highest civilian award. I think, he should be honored with India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna, one day.

why are we so hell bent on 'knighthood', days of the 'raj' are long over friends, what does a 'sir sachin' do differently over the normal sachin
